Our formation traces back to Dallas in 1989, when Aaron Michaels, a radio producer and organizer, built a distinct organization that drew inspiration from the original Panthers while walking its own path. Over more than two decades, our members have sharpened that foundation through food programs, mentoring, self-defense patrols, and campaigns against police misconduct. This longevity proves our work is not a trend, it is a disciplined commitment to Black self-determination that invites you to step into organized action.
Our mission stands on four pillars, Black Nationalism, Pan-Africanism, militant self-defense, and community organizing. Together, they shape how we train, teach, and mobilize. We build pride in African identity, connect struggles across the diaspora, and prepare our people to protect themselves while serving elders, youth, and families through concrete programs. Every class, forum, and outreach effort grows from these principles. Learn them, live them, and help us carry this legacy forward by joining and strengthening our ranks today.
